The upgrade function does not work at the moment, and it hasn't been from the beginning. We don't know when, or even if, it's ever going to be fixed.
If your bank account has been debited, you should write to support but know that at the moment, they are very busy and don't answer very quickly.

They really, really, REALLY should fix the page or at least remove it and replace it with a message like "Sorry, but UPGRADES DON'T WORK".

    *sigh*

The preorder login isn't secured by the way, any http sniffer will be able to read the login data in plain text (the forum login is https fortunately).

Edit: Ok it was fixed or just short time, https works again for the preorder login.

This is kind of away from subject but now when we are talking from net and security there are few things to make your browsing more secure (I personally use still Firefox but most of these work for multiple browsers):

("HTTPS Everywhere is a Firefox, Chrome, and Opera extension that encrypts your communications with many major websites, making your browsing more secure. ")

(" The NoScript Firefox extension provides extra protection for Firefox, Seamonkey and other mozilla-based browsers: this free, open source add-on allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted web sites of your choice (e.g. your online bank).

NoScript also provides the most powerful anti-XSS and anti-Clickjacking protection ever available in a browser. ")

(" Ghostery helps you browse smarter by giving you control over ads and tracking technologies to speed up page loads, eliminate clutter, and protect your data.")

(" uBlock Origin (/ˈjuːblɒk/ "you-block") is a free and open-source, cross-platform browser extension for content-filtering, including ad-blocking" Did not give "firefox" version url, for reason X there seem to be no one site but different site for different browser versions *shrugs*)

These will help you (meaning all users) for start I hope.

Good tips. I use Privacy Badger by EFF (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefo...vacy-badger17/) instead of ghostery, facebook container (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/user/mozilla/, to disallow facebook when not on facebook.com) and have some non-default settings (clean up cookies and offline-website-data on closing firefox etc) but otherwise i have the same setup for my fox.
