Your guess is as good as mine. Pointed it out to the techies now, anyway. Still, I'd rather have the occasional singular spam post in here than dozens upon dozens of spam threads all over the place every day. Progress!

Happy new year everybody! Maybe its time for Perpetual Nothing to make a post detailing his love affair with the monk (and corresponding archetypes)?

Happy New Year Henri! And since I know you absolutely adore the monk class, I second your sentiment!

Hey I'm a fan of PF and looking forward to this game. One thing about paladin that I don't like is the picks of their Archetypes, they feel really boring to me. Why not pick some cooler archetypes like Dusk Knight and Gray Paladin instead? The Divine Hunter I can understand because it's a ranged oriented ap, but the other two feels really boring to me.

Well, I see it this way:
You can choose to be "regular" paladin or you have 3 other options what are more or less:
    - "Healer"
    - "Long range 'ranger'"
    - "Bodyguard"

So you have 4 actually different choise to make.
Are some of them (for some people) boring? They might be. Same is fighter who is two handed specialist or tower shield specialist (or easy to make finesse fighter = Aldori). But if you can choose either of these OR normal Fighter that actually mean you have large amount of different choices to made inside "one class". Same can be say from other classes like rogue. Sure it might be that Knife Master vs Thug one or other might sound boring, but they both work really different ways and give players options for two different kind of PC and way to play the same game.

Thanks for reply, yeah I agree that archetypes are functioned as they provide more dimensions to a class, making them fullfill different role better. Maybe I'm just expecting at least one of the archetypes to be more special, or more of a specialist. That means they give up more things to get something unique. You know, like Inquisitors in Baldur's Gate 2.

PS: Btw sorry for posting in Dev subforum. I try to post in general but for some reason I have no permissions.

Another question if anyone is kindly enough to answer. Would paladin be as horrible as they are in Neverwinter night 2? I found there's no reason to take paladin in nwn2 no matter how many class level u invest.
If you go lvl 1-4 pal, cleric gives two domain that is usually better, if you go lvl 8-12 pal, fighter is always better because of weapon focus series. If you go higher, let's say lvl 20 pal, ranger seems to be better because of perfect two weapon fighting. Cleric in dnd 3.5 can outperform paladin in almost any level.
So would pal to be as bad as they were in dnd?
