Just saw that other folks from the team have started an adorable discussion on our social networks - what are the best pets and familiars in the game? The list of all available pets is actually pretty big - so big, in fact, that I can't even create a poll with enough options!

My personal favorite has got to be the Mammoth, or Mastodon - or Master-DON'T, as our stream viewers call him :) Eet beeg and fluffy friend, gud for winter. Also gud for make camp if forget towel or bedroll. Can recommend.

As a pet most certainly the owlcat. Its sooooo cute... :P
But as an animal companion I like my leopard. (would totally call him "ball of fluff" if we could rename them)

Oh yes, cats are OP as pets. My druid in my private playrthrough walks around with a Smilodon, and he's a beast (is that even a pun?).

I received red panda and faerie dragon as my backer reward but..... I want the adorable owlcat instead!!! Is there any way I can obtain Headchomper???

Owlcat is so cute. But I guess for companion Smilodon or Mastodon is great.

Favourite animal companion: elk. There is just something amusing about Bambi going all Rambo on your enemies.
Favourite familiar: viper. Nicknamed him Mr. Wriggly.
I'd love an option to actually name your familiar/companion in the game, though. :)
